From the palest pebble to deep, dramatic charcoal, grey is the new neutral for wooden floors. Understated and unexpected. The beauty of grey is that it does not overpower an interior.

Grey wooden floors vary in different ways due to the timber of choice, texture and intensity of the stain. Our Smokey grey stain allows the beautiful figuring and grain structure within the Ash to show through rather than opaque flat colour. Dark grey floors visually minimise space, whilst light grey hues create an airy atmosphere. Ash is a naturally pale timber featuring a straight, relatively open grain with occasional wavy figuring and receives a stain superbly . The beauty of Ash lies not only in its figuring but density...this is an incredibly  tough hardwood and suitable for high-traffic areas.

American White Ash  - Natural - Unfinished

American White Ash  - Brushed -  Nature UV Oil

This Ash floor has been brushed to enhance the grain structure and then Nature stain applied to enhance natural hues and prevent yellowing. The subtle stain allows the natural variations in colour and grain structure to show through, and brushing further accentuates these nuances. As such expect slight differences in tone / colour from floorboard to floorboard.

American White Ash -  Treatex Natural Hardwax Oil Finish - Aime Boutique - Notting Hill

The beautiful natural creamy greige hues within unfinished Ash were retained by the application on-site of Treatex Hardwax Oil Natural  which contains a small amount of white pigment and allows it to be used as a base coat: to protect light timbers whilst changing the unfinished colour as little as possible

We have our own specialist Low-lustre Nature UV Oil formulated which enables speed UV curing in less than sixty seconds through our new industrial Ultra Violet rollercoater. Natural hues are retained and honey pine yellowing is prevented.
